Overview
We are looking for an experienced Engineer on behalf of our client to support a major UK defence capability programme focused on the delivery of the next-generation RCH155 Self-Propelled Howitzer. This role will provide engineering and technical SME support across multiple contracts covering design, manufacture, testing, qualification, and production activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support across RCH155 programme contracts and deliverables.
- Support technical reviews, programme milestones, and capability delivery activities.
- Work closely with stakeholders, suppliers, and project teams to manage engineering requirements.
- Assist with qualification, testing, and acceptance activities.
- Review technical documentation, risks, issues, and compliance requirements.
- Support integration and delivery of capability to meet programme objectives.
- Contribute to engineering assurance and governance activities.
Requirements
- Engineering experience within Defence, Aerospace, Land Systems, or Military Equipment programmes.
- Experience supporting complex equipment acquisition or delivery projects.
- Ability to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of engineering lifecycle, testing, verification, and qualification activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
- Knowledge or experience of military land vehicles and associated systems.
- Experience within MOD or defence procurement environments.
- Familiarity with artillery, weapons, or platform delivery programmes.
