We are looking for an experienced DevOps & Platform Operations Manager to take ownership of platform operations, system administration and operational best practices.This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who can solve complex system issues while also creating the processes, documentation and standards that help the wider team operate effectively.
What You’ll Do
Platform & System Operations
- Manage and improve the reliability and day-to-day operation of systems and platforms.
- Bring expert-level system administration and operating system knowledge to complex technical environments.
- Analyse technical issues, identify root causes and determine the right debugging and resolution approach.
- Work confidently with GitHub, Python, PostgreSQL and SQL in operational environments.
DevOps & Troubleshooting
- Support deployment, configuration and ongoing platform operations.
- Investigate system and application issues using a structured troubleshooting approach.
- Improve operational reliability by identifying recurring issues and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Establish practical standards for managing and supporting platforms.
Process, Documentation & Standards
- Create clear SOPs, operational processes, technical documentation and troubleshooting guides.
- Turn individual technical knowledge into repeatable processes that can be followed across the team.
- Ensure important platform and system information is properly documented and maintained.
Team Enablement
- Train and guide team members on systems, processes and operational procedures.
- Build team capability so routine operational activities do not depend on one individual.
- Provide technical direction and support when complex issues require senior-level expertise.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience in DevOps, Platform Operations, Systems Administration or Infrastructure Operations.
- Expert knowledge of operating systems and system administration.
- Strong hands-on capability with GitHub, Python, PostgreSQL and SQL.
- Advanced troubleshooting, debugging and root-cause analysis skills.
- Experience creating and maintaining SOPs, technical documentation and operational processes.
- Ability to establish structured, scalable ways of managing platforms and technical operations.
- Confidence training and mentoring technical team members.
- A combination of deep technical expertise, operational ownership and process discipline.
